Vietnam Proposes Standard Process to Remove Online Counterfeits

Companies in Vietnam might get some help from the government to remove fake versions of their products from e-commerce websitesâ€"a booming business as internet use grows in the communist country.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is circulating draft regulations that would create standards and clear steps for e-retailers to remove knock-offs from websites when they receive a trademark infringement complaint. Right now, intellectual property owners must negotiate with e-retailers to stop selling infringing products.
